Award For Beating Creator Of Pong… At Pong

Our forum member Radiac discovered something pretty unique.

An Atari Pong Trophy

The seller states:
This was given to my mother who worked for Atari when it was first starting out. This was given as an award for getting first place in a company Pong tournament. She beat Nolan Bushnell (the godfather of gaming, creator of Pong and founder of Atari).

Definitely one of a kind, and definitely the ultimate paperweight.

  1. Well, it still has the wooden base (I believe that was attached), and the one in the CGE museum belongs to CGE… As far as I know they aren’t selling museum items… I guess we’ll find out this year if it’s still in the museum. 🙂 I believe Bushnell commented that these were made and given out as awards for a couple of competitions, so there’s probably a couple of them at least… (Still rare though.)
