RDI Halcyon

It was 1983. I was 3 years old. And Rick Dyer had a dream: bring Hal from 2001 A Space Odyssey to the real world. A true interactive system. The most powerful, most advanced system you could connect to your TV.
January 1985. The RDI Halcyon was born.
…with a price tag setted at 2,500 USD for a complete system bundled with Thayer’s Quest.

An unique system, able to play laser discs and games, microphone with voice recognition, keyboard and an awful financial situation. The dream vanished quickly.
…and slowly became the dream of hardcore collectors.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the RDI Halcyon Interactive Disc System, boxed with all the games released. Minus the microphone.
