Marvel VS Capcom PS2

Link’s idea is great! Finding gaming stuff that would not look rare at all, with a low price tag on a shelf, until you put them on eBay.

I’m a bit ignorant regarding recent games, but maybe I’m not the only one who will be surprised by the price of the following PS2 title.

Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Let me check the Digital Press rarity guide. Ok, it’s an R2, released the 11/12/2002. PlayStation magazine gave this a 4 out of 5.Interesting infos. I would pay at least 10 bucks for this one. Ok, let me find a sealed USA Marvel vs Capcom.

Only one new on eBay.

If 660 USD is a bit too much for you, you can always buy an used one for a bit more of 100Â USD in good condition.

The Marvel fanchise itself added to Capcom fighters may explain high prices, then if you think that after this game Capcom lost Marvel rights…you have a good reason to grab one in the wild and try to resell it on the Bay!

  1. I must be in the loop, but for some odd reason, I’ve long known this was rare. Didn’t think people would ever be asking *that* much for it, though.

  2. You know,
This game also fetches high numbers for the Xbox and Dreamcast (but not nearly as high as for the PS2).

  3. Thankfully, the PAL versions seem to still be very cheap, despite being very rare also. I’ve got the game on both Xbox and Dreamcast. The DC version is definately the one to get, though.

  4. Ok, that’s insane. I have the one for the DC, and if there’s one thing Sega did right, was build the machine for fighting games. I wouldn’t want to try it on the PS2 (Grandia 2 is a good example of what goes wrong). Capcom needs to get those rights back.

  5. I owned this game on PS2, no idea what I did with it though…

    Probably traded it in 🙁

I’m going to have to look through my hoarding closet tommorow.
