Really Weird Piece of NES DEV

Nintendo NES Development Kit – Recovered from Westwood Studios Warehouse in 2001 ?
It has some sort of cart attached on the back. Or front. I’ve never seen something similar.

  1. The NES thing is probably essentially a custom-made RAM cart. I have something sort of similar fro Rocket Science Productions (pictured on my site). Nintendo didn’t make devkits in the early days of the NES, so some developers basically hacked together their own way of loading code quickly onto the NES for testing. Just a guess, but that’s what I think this is… Probably requires some custom software to actually do anything with it…
