Nintendo N64 Zelda: Majora’s Mask Promo T-shirt Dr. Pepper Contest Prize

Very cool, very unique and very overpriced.

From the auction:

In January 2001 I was one of the instant winners in the Dr. Pepper / Nintendo promotional instant win contest. I’ve had the t-shirt stored in my closest for twelve years and have never worn it! It’s brand new in MINT condition and the Zelda logo is bright/vivid and looks like it just came from the factory. The front of the shirt says “Dr. Pepper” and the back shows a big logo with Link doing a jumpslash in front of a Dr. Pepper logo with text in the upper left corner under the Majora’s Mask logo that says “UNLEASH THE MYSTERY”. I’m guessing that is supposed to be referring to the mystery of why the moon is crashing into Termina! 🙂

Here is some information I was able to find regarding this contest from 2001:

Dr Pepper Promo Offers Chance To Win Video Game Room

Dr Pepper drinkers can instantly win Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask video game and a Nintedo 64 game system by looking behind the label of specially marked 20-ounce bottles. Twelve-packs and two-liter bottles will carry a mail-in sweepstakes form to enter the grand prize drawing for the “Ultimate Video Game Room” featuring state-of-the-art audio and visual components, such as a Nintendo 64 system, Nintendo 64 game library, The Game Seat game chair and a one-year supply of Dr Pepper. Point-of-sale support for the promotion includes cold vault static cling, vender clings, display spectaculars, shelf talkers and pole signs.

  1. I’ll be honest, I love collecting unique, rare, promotional and cool video game shirts, but I’d never spend close to that kindof money…
