Sega Sonic The Hedgehog Draw String Bag Signed By Yuji Naka

Ending in another day, the bids are pretty high on this bag. It’s a tote type draw string bag with both handles with a print design of Sonic and on the back of the bag is another print design, but this time it’s of Aiai The Monkey from the Super Monkey Ball series

Cool item, which has also been signed by Yuji Naka – best known as the former head of Sonic Team, a group of Sega programmers/designers, where he was the lead programmer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Naka is one of the few high-profile Japanese game creators to speak fluent English and since 2006 he has been the head of Prope, an independent game company he founded after leaving Sega that same year.

The signature on the bag dates 30th March 2002.

TELSTAR SEGA MEGADRIVE DOUBLE GAMES PACK SONIC & BUBSY MEGA DRIVE – Telstar is a UK company which began life in 1993. They started out by selling these discounted video games in ‘double packs’. As far as I am aware it was only games for the Mega Drive, Master System and Game Gear then later they also released packs for the PC. Telstar went on to get the UK publishing right to 7th Guest and it all went down hill from there until they were bought out by ‘Take 2’ in 1999. There were around twenty versions of these and all are pretty high to come by. The main reason for the rarityi s the packaging. The outer casing is just thin clear plastic with a paper insert to cover the two original game boxes.
