Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Limited Editions

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a single player action-adventure RPG which is a collaborative effort between Ken Rolston of Big Huge Games, legendary comicbook artist/toy tycoon Todd McFarlane, and world renowned fantasy writer R.A. Salvatore. Rolston served as lead game designer, McFarlane as lead art director, and Salvatore’s writing laying the foundation for the franchise.

Ken Rolston, in case you didn’t know, was the lead game developer for two of the most beloved Elder Scrolls games: Morrowind and Oblivion.

Anyways, there were multiple Limited Editions of the game. A Special Edition at $80, a
Collector’s Edition limited to 700 units and retailed for $200 and lastly a Signature Edition limited to 300 units and retailed for $275.

At the beginning of the year, two Exclusive Editions sold for $2,900.00 (360) and $2,125.99 (PS3). At that time, the Signature Edition sold for $400.00 – $783.00 and the Collectors Edition for up to $320.00. I haven’t really kept track of them since, but the Exclusive Editions have retained their value, but the rest have slipped a little.

Right now a Signature Edition has popped up for the 360. As of posting, the price has already climbed to $450 with eight days to go.

  1. Signature edition auction is already $600+. Very shocked…
BTW, as to the ‘Exclusive Edition,’ there were 12 of them made due to over orders on the Signature edition. I have seen any of those come up since the last 2-3 auctions for them following the game’s original release.
I believe one of the owners (a collector) of the 360 edition got his graded and it’s probably sitting on his shelf–looking awesome.
At least 3 others are also in the hands of collectors. 2 side deals through Ebay and another directly through Ebay.
That leaves another 8 of those floating around who knows where….
Any other information would be great–if you guys have it!
