Arcade Weekends

For many video game collectors, there is no item more desirable in the whole wide world than their own authentic arcade machine. MAJOR TOM TO GROUND KONTROL…..it’s another Arcade Weekends.

I will point out every week that arcade units purchased from auction sites usually have inflated prices — unless you live close enough to the seller that you can pick the unit up yourself. Many sellers know this and list their items as Local Pick-Ups only (marked here as LPUs). If you DO live near any of today’s sellers, some of these deals aren’t bad.

From Albuquerque, New Mexico: Asteroids, $475, buyer arranges shipping if needed.

From Pottstown, Pennsylvania: Ms. Pac-Man, sun-faded on the right side, $238 at last price check.

From Woonsocket, RI: 1981’s “Scramble” by Konami, ends soon at $650 with no bids, shipping details omitted but $50 should be added for packing expenses.

From Hagerstown, Maryland: California Speed Sit-Down Unit, $385, shipping possible but LPU preferred, owner says “screen is fuzzy.”

From Warren, Ohio: Terminator 2: Judgment Day, $355 at last bid check, seller will ship for an additional $250.

From Coweta, Oklahoma: Sweet Donkey Kong Jr. Cocktail Unit, BIN at $900 or best offer, seller will ship COD. I’ve never understood people who, given the choice, would rather eat their lunch on a dinette set instead of one of these.

From Mount Zion, Illinois: Area 51 (these seem to show up a lot). BIN at $525, buyer pays shipping if needed plus $50 packing fee. If you live anywhere near or within the Chicagoland area, the seller will deliver it personally for a flat $150 fee.

From Malvern, Pennsylvania: 1927 Arcade Baseball, pre-electronic experience recreated with little mannequins, costs you the price of several exotic cars.
