For many video game collectors, there is no item more desirable in the whole wide world than their own authentic arcade machine. MAJOR TOM TO GROUND KONTROL…..it’s another Arcade Weekends.
I will point out every week that arcade units purchased from auction sites usually have inflated prices — unless you live close enough to the seller that you can pick the unit up yourself. Many sellers know this and list their items as Local Pick-Ups only (marked here as LPUs). If you DO live near any of today’s sellers, some of these deals aren’t bad.
From Albuquerque, New Mexico: Asteroids, $475, buyer arranges shipping if needed.
From Pottstown, Pennsylvania: Ms. Pac-Man, sun-faded on the right side, $238 at last price check.
From Hagerstown, Maryland: California Speed Sit-Down Unit, $385, shipping possible but LPU preferred, owner says “screen is fuzzy.”
From Coweta, Oklahoma: Sweet Donkey Kong Jr. Cocktail Unit, BIN at $900 or best offer, seller will ship COD. I’ve never understood people who, given the choice, would rather eat their lunch on a dinette set instead of one of these.
From Mount Zion, Illinois: Area 51 (these seem to show up a lot). BIN at $525, buyer pays shipping if needed plus $50 packing fee. If you live anywhere near or within the Chicagoland area, the seller will deliver it personally for a flat $150 fee.
