Arcade Weekends

For many video game collectors, there is no item more desirable in the whole wide world than their own authentic arcade machine. GO HOME AND BE A FAMILY MAN!….it’s another Arcade Weekends.

I will point out every week that arcade units purchased from auction sites usually have inflated prices — unless you live close enough to the seller that you can pick the unit up yourself. Many sellers know this and list their items as Local Pick-Ups only (marked here as LPUs). If you DO live near any of today’s sellers, some of these deals aren’t bad.

From North Ridgeville, Ohio: Midway 12-in-One Arcade Machine, LPU, $299. It looks like a homebrewed unit, but it isn’t — Midway really made these, at about the same time they were selling home versions of similar compilations for the PlayStation.

From Howell, NJ: Joust, LPU, ends soon at a current bid price of $305.

From Mount Zion, Illinois: Double Dragon, BIN at $650 or best offer. Several delivery options.

From same seller: Run & Gun, a four-player basketball game, BIN at $575 or best offer. Never heard of it…

From Coatesville, Pennsylvania: Gauntlet Legends, BIN at $800 or best offer, LPU preferred but they will ship via NAVL.

From Coweta, Oklahoma: Burgertime, BIN at $750 or best offer, will deliver via freight.

From Cudahy, Washington: Crazy-old “Bombs Away” unit from 1976, LPU, BIN at $300 but no current bids at $199. Still works!

Finally, from Howell, New Jersey: I hope nobody purchased the Sega Turbo machine from last week, because this action has it beat at a current auction price of ONE DOLLAR AND TWENTY-FIVE CENTS. I believe this is a new record for Arcade Weekends that will be hard to surpass.
