Resident Evil VS. The Big Comfy Couch

So, bear with me if you’re wondering why I’m posting about a random Children TV Show.

The Big Comfy Couch was a Canadian children’s television series about Loonette the Clown and her friends. Here’s a clip from the intro if you’ve never heard of it.

So anyway, my three year old is watching Treehouse (Child’s TV Channel) and this show is on. I’m rather bored at the time and I think to myself, I wonder what this chick looks like in real life. So I Google (well, Wiki actually).

Turns out the the actor, Alyson Court, has also been the only actress to voice Claire Redfield in the Resident Evil series. Voicing her in Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil Code: Veronica, the CG animation movie Resident Evil: Degeneration, and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. OH MY GOD.

Suffice to say, my mind was blow for the duration of the show.

Anyway, here are a few Resident Evil auctions I dug through.

Resident Evil Code Veronica Music BoxSelling here is a Resident Evil Code Veronica Music Box by CAPCOM. This is the holy grail of all Resident Evil collectibles. Since Code veronica was released in 2000, I have yet to see the Ashford music box up for sale on eBay, which would make this the first. It plays the Ashford Family tune (or lullaby). The Code Veronica ‘Infants’ music box by CAPCOM is in good shape and plays perfectly. There is however some “rainbow” color to the round metal piece. You can sort of see this in picture 5 of the music box. You cannot really see it due to the flash on the camera, but it doesn’t effect the music box.
The music box has the official Biohazard Code Veronica logo on it along with the Capcom logo. Out of all the R.E games they could have made a music box ,Code Veronica was the obvious choice. It is not certain whether this was available to purchase through the e-capcom website, or if it was a special mail-in-order during the release of Code Veronica. We can all draw our own theories but perhaps the best one suited for this music box is a special mail-in-order like the Gradius music box, or the Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers music box. One thing is for certain, like all music boxes, the Ashford music box was created in limited numbers. Also, this tune is featured in the new Darkside Chronicles game.

Resident Evil Outbreak 2 J’s Bar Whiskey Glass – I love “real life” promo items like this. Stuff most people would never realize are game tie ins, Price is insane however. Side note: I’m one of the few people who though Outbreak was an awesome game.
Playstation Biohazard Resident Evil Nightmare Returns 5th Anniv.
