Arcade Weekends

For many video game collectors, there is no item more desirable in the whole wide world than their own authentic arcade machine. WELCOME TO DIE…..it’s another Arcade Weekends.

I will point out every week that arcade units purchased from auction sites usually have inflated prices — unless you live close enough to the seller that you can pick the unit up yourself. Many sellers know this and list their items as Local Pick-Ups only (marked here as LPUs). If you DO live near any of today’s sellers, some of these deals aren’t bad.

From Beaumont, Texas: A cocktail Millipede unit, LPU, currently priced at an unheard-of $27.00. You might be expecting a catch, and you’d be sort of right — the unit has been in storage for 20 years and has had no restorative work done. But it reportedly works, and dang, $27. I’ve seen hollow shells offered for much more. Texans, get on this one.

From Clear Brook, Virginia: The Super Mario Bros. Vs. machine, BIN at $600, LPU preferred but will ship. Yes, SMB was turned into a competitive arcade game. Contains slightly modified levels from the original game as well as areas from The Lost Levels mixed in.

From Mount Zion, Illinois: Donkey Kong Jr, $575, seller will ship COD. This one has been listed here before, but it’s still available.

From Anaheim, California: Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga combo cocktail, reserve not met at $310, flat $295 shipping rate. Has never been used. (The Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga combo was a 20th anniversary release in 2002, not from the early 80’s, so it’s not THAT remarkable it’s gone untouched.)

From Milford, Connecticut: Sega Turbo upright, BIN at $595, owner will ship at a $200 to $500 cost depending on distance.

From Barre, Vermont: Tekken 3, current bid is all the way down at $100, shipping offered.

From Mechanicsville (seriously), Virginia: Ikari Warriors, $550, shipping charges are via PayPal but LPU is free.
