Playstation 2 European Automotive Collection – Super Red

In 2001 to celebrate their success of selling the PS2 in extremely high amounts, Sony made five limited edition Playstation 2 consoles. This was a selection of glossy systems dubbed the ‘European Automobile Color Collection’. They were a series of limited color editions that came in (all metallics) Red, Yellow, Blue, White and Silver. There were supposedly 666 units of each color allocated to the US.

I’m not sure what the current values on these are, but remember seeing a loose White system sell for just over $300.00 last year with controllers.

Right now, there’s a “Super Red” version up on eBay. It’s also factory sealed and includes the matching color stand.
