Blizzcon 2001 is coming up in October, and tickets are selling like hotcakes. The original cost was $175.00 and went on sale in two batches, Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and Wednesday, May 25 at 7 p.m. Pacific Time on the BlizzCon website and online Blizzard Store. Both sold out rather quickly.
Not surprisingly, a lot of people are reselling their tickers. Prices are literally all over the place. Completed listings have ranged from the $175 retail price for a single ticket to $700 for a pair. $300 seems to be around the average going price.
Based on previous Blizzcons, you are pretty much guaranteed with recoup your ticket costs by selling the items in the swag bag you receive for attending.
As an extreme example, the 2005 Murky Baby Blue Murloc Pet has sold for $1000.00 – $1,900.00 in the past 90 days. While the value obviosuly rises over time, it’s doubtful anything from this years will ever come close to that vlaue. Let’s look at the 2010 Blizzcon Goodies then, A complete bag will fetch between $100.00 – $200.00. The 2010 pet Deathy Murloc goes for around $60.00 – $75.00.The 2009 pet Grunty the Murloc sells for up to $150.00Â and the 2008 Polar Bear Mount can go for up to $295.00
Obviously, there is much more supply of these than the six year old pet, and value should rise assuming WOW keeps its popularity. My guess is that off the bat, value for the 2011 pets and swag will spike initially as people who could not attend the event fight over them. After that, it will be a few years before the demand really starts up again.

Resident Evil RCPD Detective Badge Video Game Prop – A full-sized (more than 3 inches in diameter) metal badge with a pin glued on the back. Looks like someone put a lot of time into this.
