Dreamcast Biohazard Code: Veronica S.T.A.R.S Limited Ed

This is a limited edition Resident Evil Japanese Dreamcast released around the time of the Biohazard Code: Veronica launch. It was available in two versions, a Claire Redfield model and VMU, and the other a clear dark blue S.T.A.R.S model and VMU. The first was limited to 1800 pieces and the later to a mere 200.

The small release numbers haves made both of them, especially the S.T.A.R.S version featured here, a holy grail for both Dreamcast and Resident Evil collectors.

Both this and the Clair version retailed for around $350 and were only available by entering your name on the now defunct Dreamcast Direct website. Names were drawn with the winners being allowed an opportunity to purchase the system.

There has not been one of these sold at open auction for quite sometime, so it will be interesting to see how high it gets. The last one I know of sold for a $2,600.00 BIN last August (2010), making this one significantly higher so far. As a comparison, the last Clair version sold in April for $700.00 (although I have seen it sell for $1000).

Auction Here – Already $11,496.10 with under a day to go. Price is definatley higher that what I would expect, although the rairty level is there. This definatley will be interesting to watch and see if it is paid for. I do know that a couple people have been actively looking for one of these over the past couple of months. Seller also has other Dreamcast LEs.

Portal Custom Metal Weighted Companion Cube Paperweight – Acording to the aution fewer than 20 of these were custom made and given to the developers. The cube is milled from a solid block of what appears to be aluminum. It is not painted, measures 3″ x 3″ x 3″ and weighs exactly two pounds.
Nintendo 64 Sports All Star Titles Display Sign – Sweet sign in that boxes are inserted into it. Similar to the one I mentioned a few days ago, only refrences sports titles.
