Arcade Weekends

For many video game collectors, there is no item more desirable in the whole wide world than their own authentic arcade machine. It’s another Arcade Weekends, and remember, Winners Don’t Use Drugs.

I will point out every week that arcade units purchased from auction sites usually have inflated prices — unless you live close enough to the seller that you can pick the unit up yourself. Many sellers know this and list their items as Local Pick-Ups only (marked here as LPUs). If you DO live near any of today’s sellers, some of these deals aren’t bad.

arcade20-1 From Riverside, California: “Rushing Heroes”, a two-player, double-screened football game, BIN at $429, several shipping options.

arcade20-2 From Spartanburg, North Carolina: Mortal Kombat II, BIN at $599.99, several shipping options. Comes with manual.

arcade20-3 From Gilbert, Arizona: Atari’s Xybots, ends soon, bid as of this moment is $202.50, buyer arranges shipping.

arcade20-4 From same seller: Frayed-at-the-edges Dig-Dug cocktail, ends soon, bid as of this moment is $200, buyer arranges shipping.

arcade20-5 From (Sam and Dean) Winchester, California: Galaxian upright, BIN at $495 or best offer, buyer arranges shipping.

arcade20-6 Also from Sam and Dean: Atari’s Radikal Bikers, a totally 90’s extreme sports game with N64-type polygon graphics, BIN at $295 or best offer, buyer arranges shipping.

arcade20-7 From Plano, Texas: Burgertime, BIN at $895 or best offer, shipping price ridiculous so LPU is best. “Sold as-is, no refunds,” seller ominously says, though he promises it works.

arcade20-8 From Indianapolis, Indiana: A true one-of-a-kind. Midway’s “Wacko,” an obscure arcade title with a custom cabinet built purposely diagonal. Imagine trying to make a MAME machine out of this one. BIN at $1050 or best offer, buyer arranges shipping.
