Bayonetta Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide by Future Press

Strategy guides have always been collectible over the years. Some of which are out of production only 2-6 months after it’s initial printing usually due to the fact that either the game didn’t sell all that well or there wasn’t a demand at the time. While companies like Bradygames and Prima have been making guides forever, there’s also other companies like DoubleJump (who did the Disgaea games and other rpgs), and Future Press.

Future Press did a number of guides for Killzone 3, Portal 2, Vanquish, and Infamous. Some of these guides were only released in Europe. One guide in particular, the Bayonetta Collector’s Edition, have been gaining an insane amount of dough in both the U.S. and in Europe. This strategy guide was not localized to the U.S. probably because they didn’t have the publishing rights for it – Bradygames does I think . From what I’ve read on the interwebz, the walkthrough for the game is superb compared to other guides and compared to Bradygames’, this was the best out of the two. This 400 page guide also included 32 pages of art and an interview with Bayonetta’s Director Hideki Kamiya and Producer Yusuke Hashimoto.
