Bioshock Infinite Murder of Crows Vigor Bottle

It’s been a little over four years since the original Bioshock game was released. In that short time, the groundbreaking franchise has established itself as an industry leader and a household name the world over.

Not surprisingly, the series has amassed a massive, loyal fanbase; and as those fans have learned, no videogame developers are as devoted to keeping their fans engaged as 2K Marin and Irrational Games (the Creators of the Bioshock games) are. From creating elaborate viral campaigns with compelling narratives, to hosting special events across the US, 2K Marin and Irrational Games have a track record of going above and beyond for their fans.

Through the franchise’s history, several promotional collectible items have been produced. Most of those items have been given away as gifts to fans. Some of the rarest items include unique Splicer masks, a faux wine bottle, scarce art books, and mini statues of characters from the game.

The next game in the franchise, Bioshock Infinite, is set to release next year; and it is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the coming year. Believe it or not, one of the most sought after Bioshock collectibles is based on this aforementioned forthcoming game. The item is a Murder of Crows Vigor bottle. The bottle is a perfect 1:1 replica of the in-game item. Only a few Murder of Crows Vigor bottles have ever come up for sale, and they each sold for more than $600 (one actually sold for $1,135, though that one was sold for charity.)

To date, the bottles have only been distributed by Irrational Games to some members of the game’s development team, to a handful of members of the press, and to the winner of the charity auction. To say that fans have been clamoring to get their hands on this item is to say the least.

Today those fans have another shot at this scarce collectible, as one has now come up for sale.

I really don’t know how many of these bottles were made, but given that they were given away quite some time ago, and given that only a handful have come up for sale, I’d be inclined to believe that not too many exist.

If you’re a hardcore Bioshock fan, this item might be right up your alley.
