Halloween Is Coming…

Halloween is creeping up on us, and I’m trying to wrack my brain for a good costume idea. I’ve had a few glimmers of ideas, but I’m hoping to come up with something ingenious. Obviously, I’m trying to come up with a good video game related idea – something retrosih (is that a word?) if possible. There’s lots of sites for me to steal ideas from, especially those that showcase costumes from conferences and expos (from gaming, comic cons and the like). While doing some Googling, I ran across this Online Halloween Costume Contest at Star Costumes.

While I seriously doubt that I’m going to win, I went ahead and decided to enter anyways. After some thinking I opted to enter my Toad costume from a couple years ago. Not exactly elaborate, but I did get a lot of compliments. Definitely one of my favorites. The thing was extraordinarily cold to wear outside though (and no I wasn’t out trick or treating – although it was tempting).

This year, I’m thinking of a hardcore Megaman costume unless I come up with a cooler idea. I’d like to go hardcore with the concept, and build an entire suite and slap on some spandex to boot. The more embarrassing the costume, the better the end results I say. Any suggestions?
