IMSAI 8080

Back in 1970s, microcomputers were replacing the much bigger mainframes and minicomputers.
In 1974, the Intel 8080Â came to change the industry, with the first truly usable microprocessor CPU design.

And there came the IMSAI 8080, the first “clone” computer, and Hollywood star! Do you remember the 1983 movie WarGames? This microcomputer was the hacking tool used by the main character David Lightman (Matthew Broderick) to enter the NORAD military artificial intelligence computer system and play “Global Thermonuclear War”!

No, it’s not the very same model we have here for sale, but it’s a nice and rare piece of history neverthless (is this correct to say so in English?).

Not many of these are still around.
