K’Nex Launch Event at Nintendo World

I gotta admit, I was a bit skeptical about this event when I found out about it at the Ocarina of Time 3D event. But I was glad it turned out to be one of the best events I went to at Nintendo World over the years.

When we got there there were already a ton of people trying out the new Mario Kart toys. Downstairs is where they had the new sets they just revealed. I actually didn’t know that these were battery powered. They looked awesome put together.

At the door, they gave away these Luigi K’Nex samples. I have a few to give away later on 🙂 I also asked for more Ocarina of Time 3D launch flyers, so I’ll give those away as well.

There were built sets upstairs as well on display. Except for the Bowser set.. They had it for sale but it was nowhere to be found on display. No love for Bowser eh?

They had tables filled with Mario Kart K’Nex for everyone to try out and build.

They had 2 contests going on upstairs; fastest builder and guess how many pieces. I didn’t get any prizes, but both my son and my daughter (surprisingly since she doesn’t like building them at all) won fast builders for 7 and 9 year olds. The sets are worth $25 and $30 each!! Before we left, my son was interviewed for Nintendo Week where he explained both of the prizes he won.
