X-Men Destiny and Too Human to be recalled/destroyed

After suffering massive layoffs late of last year, Silicon Knights, who developed Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and other hits such as Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Eternal Darkness for both the Nintendo Gamecube, was ordered by the court to destroy all remaining unsold copies of Too Human and X-Men Destiny after it “repeatedly and deliberately copied significant portions of Epic Games’ code containing trade secrets… and used it to create a competing product, Silicon Knights’ own game engine”. All original codes for other games Silicon Knights’ been working on such as The Sandman and Siren in the Maelstrom and The Box/Ritualyst is also to be destroyed. The company also teased earlier this year that a sequel for Eternal Darkness might be on the way. While Nintendo renewed its trademark last year, its unclear whether the company is actually working on the sequel for Eternal Darkness (though there were reports that the company was creating a demo). It would really suck for them to lose all of that work..

Too Human wasn’t a very big success for the company. The game was notorious for being in development for almost 10 years. It was originally planned as a Playstation title then went on to the Gamecube and finally being picked up by Microsoft in 2005. I don’t know how many copies are still out there. But do know they will be the last and remaining copies ever for these 2 games.
