NBA Jam Xbox 360 Limited Edition Alternate Cover

Although the NBA Elite 11 game was cancelled, there was also a previously-announced NBA Elite 11 shoe (now called the Nike Zoom EA Sports KD III) which was finally released on 2/18/11.

Only 140 total pairs were avilable, all with EA branding that were sold exclusively
at two Niketown stores in Southern California (Beverly Hills & Santa Monica).

What is most interesting is that the shoes included a copy of NBA Jam for Xbox 360, with an exclusive alternate cover featuring Kevin Durant.

This seems to be a “We’re sorry that NBA Elite 11, which would have had you on the cover, was cancelled” gesture for Durant.

The sets are now sold out but there are multiple eBay auctions up in which you can see the game in the photos. None of the NBA Jam games were sealed, and they were identical to the retail version except for the front cover & spine art of the insert.
