NECA Portal Prop Gun – Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device

I’ve mentioned several homemade Portal Guns in the past on here, but now you can own one without shelling out for custom work or hacking away with parts from Home Depot.

Toymaker NECA produced Chell’s weapon of choice – the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. Limited to 5,000 units it measures 30″ in length and produces the lovely “portal-creating” sound we’ve become used to. A 3 way switch allows you to select blue, orange or off and when you pull the trigger you activate the ”firing” and sound.

These retailed for $140, but they’be been quickly selling for $300-$400 so far.

They also have a second one planned, the gun used by P-body in Portal 2 co-op. The lights for this one will be different from the original, glowing in orange and red. Pre-orders are apparently starting next week.
