Pirates of the Caribbean Ltd. Edition Nintendo DS Lite

Looks like the DS is going to end up like the GBA – insane amounts of hardware variants. This is the first time I’ve seen this Pirates Of The Caribbean DS Lite and while it looks like a simple printed vinyl sticker on a regular system, it looks legit.

THESE ONE OF A KIND DS SYSTEMS WERE GIVEN OUT TO LUCKY TICKET HOLDERS AT THE WORLD PREMIERE OF PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END ON MAY 19, 2007 AT DISNEYLAND ANAHEIM, CA.

TICKETS TO THIS EVENT WERE A WELL PUBLICIZED $1500.00 EA. AND WERE LIMITED TO 1500 TICKETS. I DON’T BELIEVE THER E WERE 1500 DS LITE OFFERED AS THEY WERE GONE IN A MATTER OF MOMENTS.

The front side of the unit features the famous Pirates of the Caribbean skull logo.

The back side features Captain Jack Sparrow and a picture of Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland along with the inscription “where the adventure comes to life. Disney Parks where dreams come true, Commerative Limited Edition 2007″
