Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Limited Editions

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a single player action-adventure RPG set in a massive fantasy world, named Amalur.

The series is a collaborative effort between Ken Rolston of Big Huge Games, legendary comicbook artist/toy tycoon Todd McFarlane, and world renowned fantasy writer R.A. Salvatore; with Rolston serving as lead game designer, McFarlane serving as lead art director, and Salvatore’s writing laying the foundation for the franchise. Ken Rolston, in case you didn’t know, was the lead game developer for two of the most beloved Elder Scrolls games: Morrowind and Oblivion.

There are multiple Limited Editions of the game, and we have already mentioned a few

Special Edition retailed for $80 and included:

  • Custom parchment map of the world
  • Custom seven-piece set of dice for your next tabletop gaming session
  • Full set of 40 Destiny Cards that are featured in the game
  • Soundtrack of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning composed by Grant Kirkhope

Collector’s Edition limited at 700 units and retailed for $200 included:

  • All items in the Special Edition (parchment map, seven-piece dice set, full set of destiny cards, and soundtrack)
  • Individually numbered Prismere Troll figurine created by McFarlane toys. The solid resin troll stands at 12.5” and normally retails for $125
  • High-quality concept art lithograph from Reckoning limited to 1,000 units, signed by game visionary, Ken Rolston

Signature Edition limited to 300 units retailed for $275 includes:

  • All items in the Special Edition (parchment map, seven-piece dice set, full set of destiny cards, and soundtrack)
  • All items in the Collector’s Edition
  • Individually-numbered, custom sketch by Todd McFarlane limited to 300 units
  • The Prismere Troll figurine is signed by Todd McFarlane, R.A. Salvatore or Curt Schilling and are limited to 300 editions

Exclusive Edition limited to 12 units includes:

This version is only available to those who placed an order and paid for the Signature Edition. Apparently, 38 Studios took 312 orders on the Signature Edition and is made up for it by creating the Exclusive Edition for the 12 people .

So far, two Exclusive Editions have sold for $2,900.00 (360) and $2,125.99 (PS3).

The Signature Edition has sold for $400.00 – $783.00.

Some of the current ones available are shown below, but the most interesting one is this auction. It`s the Collectors Edition, but since the owners order was screwed up, they included a bonus lithograph from the Exclusive Edition.
