The Playstation TV

With all the rave of these 3D devices that are somewhat invading our living room, the last thing you want to hear is that there’s a specific tv built just for the Playstation 3. It seems like, it’s the only option Sony’s got for this year’s holiday season. The Playstation Move is a disaster cause to this day, the install base is shrinking due to the fact that Sony or other companies has yet to provide a killer app for it.

First unveiled at E3 of this year during the Sony press conference, it just seems more of gimmicky to me than an actual product that I can use daily (like my regular HDTV). What does it offer other than Uncharted 3 in 3D? By the way, Uncharted 3 in 3D is pretty fucking amazing if you ask me. But what about the other games? Resistance 3? Motorstorm (areyoushittingme)? Still, Sony has manage to bundle up these 2 games free (technically its not free) with the Playstation TV along with 2 3D glasses. According to the Sony Playstation Blog, you’ll need to pre-order this before September 30 of this year to get in on the deal.

This Stereoscopic 3D display will work with the current 3D capable games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Crysis 2, Gran Turismo 5, and a few others. Unlike Nintendo, at least Sony is releasingĂ‚ it with a small library of games already available and ready to play with the unit. While the world waits for what Nintendo’s cooking up their sleeve to revive the hype of all things 3DS, Sony could possibly make it big with this TV thanks to the killer app called Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
